The material presented at the CSRS Annual Meetings has been made available by the Cervical Spine Research Society for educational purposes only. The material is not intended to represent the only, nor necessarily best method or procedure appropriate for the medical situations discussed, but rather is intended to present an approach, view, statement or opinion of the faculty which may be helpful to others who face similar situations.
The CSRS disclaims any and all liability for injury or other damages resulting to any individual attending the annual meeting and for all claims which may arise out of the use of the techniques demonstrated therein by such individuals whether these claims shall be asserted by physician or any other person.
The names of all the authors, including the presenter in boldface, are indicated below the title. The presenter was responsible for querying the co-authors regarding the disclosure of their work. All presenters, secondary authors, and any other participant in the Annual Meeting have been asked to disclose if he/she, or a member of his/her immediate family has a financial interest in and/or relationship with a commercial company, supplier or institution within the last twelve months. The CSRS has identified the options to disclose as follows:
(n) = Respondent answered ‘No’ to all items indicating no conflicts.
1= Royalties from a company or supplier;
2= Speakers bureau/paid presentations for a company or supplier;
3A= Paid employee for a company or supplier;
3B= Paid consultant for a company or supplier;
3C= Unpaid consultant for a company or supplier;
4= Stock or stock options in a company or supplier;
5= Research support from a company or supplier as a PI;
6= Other financial or material support from a company or supplier;
7= Royalties, financial or material support from publishers;
8= Medical/Orthopaedic publications editorial/governing board;
9= Board member/committee appointments for a society.
An indication of the participant’s disclosure, as well as the commercial company or institution that provided the support appears after his or her name in the formatted abstract and in the disclosure index.
The CSRS does not view the existence of these disclosed interests or commitments as necessarily implying bias or decreasing the value of the author’s participation in this activity.
