Awards Program

The mission of the Cervical Spine Research Society is to carry out research and exchange information on the cervical spine. To help achieve this goal, the Society is offering three awards for outstanding, unpublished research papers.

Generous contributions from our colleagues in industry, donations from individuals, and money from CSRS courses and society dues fund the CSRS Research Program.

Award categories are best Clinical, Basic Science and Resident /Fellow papers. Each award is in the amount of $2,000. Please note that we have changed the selection process for these awards!! This year the candidates for all three awards will be selected from the top seven on-line submissions in each category as chosen by the Program Committee.

• Deadline for all abstract submissions is June 1.
• The authors of the top seven abstracts in each category will be required to submit a short manuscript amplifying the abstract. The deadline for receipt of this manuscript is October 1.
• Based on the manuscript, the best paper in each category will be selected by the Research Committee.
• One of the authors must attend the annual meeting in November/December to present the paper and receive the monetary award.
