CSRS Resident & Fellow Annual Meeting Scholarship Program

The Cervical Spine Research Society (CSRS) is seeking senior orthopedic and/or neurosurgery residents and spine fellows, with a strong interest in pursuing cervical spine research, to apply for a meeting scholarship for the Annual Meeting and Instructional Course. (Individuals that can obtain institutional funding or funding from their training program for the meeting should not apply.) Educational scholarship recipients will be expected to attend all scientific portions of the meeting, starting with the Instructional Course on Wed, Nov 29 at 9am, and ending with the scientific sessions the afternoon of Sat, Dec 2.

Applications will be accepted July 5-31, 2023 and decisions will be announced mid-September.

Eligibility:

  • A senior orthopedic or neurosurgery resident or a fellow in an orthopedic or spine fellowship
  • Have not received a scholarship to attend a CSRS meeting within the last two years
  • Directly involved in/interested in cervical spine research or cervical spine care
  • Candidates are not required to be CSRS members
  • Candidates should be from the United States
  • Female and/or minority applicants are strongly encouraged to apply as two full travel scholarships are earmarked specifically for those candidates

Application Requirements:

  • Personal statement including your interests and why you would like to attend the CSRS Annual Meeting
  • Letter of from your training program director confirming that they will allow you to attend the meeting in its entirety
  • CV

Scholarship Types:

CSRS/Medtronic Full Travel Scholarship:

CSRS Scholarship Level 1:

  • Complimentary meeting registrations to the Annual Meeting & Instructional Course
  • Attendance at the Medtronic resident & fellow pre-conference gathering Wednesday evening
  • Hotel accommodations (Wed-Fri nights)

CSRS Scholarship Level 2:

  • Complimentary meeting registrations to the Annual Meeting & Instructional Course
  • Attendance at the Medtronic resident & fellow pre-conference gathering Wednesday evening
